It is annoying how people have this high expectation of what it's like to be in a relationship. If you are in one, you are expected to hold hands, cuddle and be in each other's company 24-7. When the other person is sick, you come over with a container of chicken soup and place a towel over their forehead. You spend your nights kissing to your favourite song and sleep over each others' places. Endless phonecalls and texts and flower deliveries. You ask someone about their idea of a perfect relationship and you get many different, yet similar replies. And blame movies and television shows all you want, but everyone will end up with the same answer "That's just how it is."
No, its not.
Nothing can ever be "just how it is." There is always a reason. What would truly be the reason behind these expectations? Someone
else's expectations. People are merely moulding their lives around other people's expectations to prove to the world that they're "in love" and that isn't right. I'll continue to express my affection the way I want to and make my own expectations that I feel comfortable living up to. :)
I agree! Everyone IS different anyway! WAY TO GO KIMB!
